Granite Countertops are "Out"...What is the New Option for Countertops?

Remember when you only had a few options for countertops? Marble was too porous, laminate peeled, tile had grout lines to contend with...then, came granite. Ahh, granite. The answer for many who felt stunted by the options that were available. Granite had movement, was a natural stone, hardy and came in a variety of colors. It was the "sliced bread" of countertops. However, as granite has become more available and the default for kitchens and vanities, it's now become the "day old bread" option for countertops...stale.

Enter Caeserstone. Caeserstone is like granite, in that, since it's a natural stone (quartz), it provides multiple colors, textures and design elements; but, quartz is more nonporous, stain, scratch and heat resistant than granite. It's also more resistant to mold, mildew and bacteria. Thus, making it a perfect choice for kitchens, bathrooms or anywhere you have a countertop.

So, while granite was great (and still is) for many people wanting to update their countertops, those seeking something fresh and unique might just find that quartz is the best thing since sliced bread...or granite.
